Trips depart RAIN OR SHINE! If it rains, you get more water for your money. If we cancel any trip due to weather, mechanical failure, unsafe conditions, or insufficient reservations, a full refund will be provided. Policy for all Trips:
We reserve the right to cancel any departure if we have insufficient reservations. We do all we can to reschedule or accommodate guests reserved on any departure with insufficient reservations.
There are two ways to do it.... We can make a private group with your own private link that only those you send the link to can book. We set the number of seats you need and everyone can book the group experience on their own without you having to collect money and be responsible for confirmation information, directions, waivers being signed, or providing your guides with a gratuity in advance.. Everyone can be with the group yet they take care of the booking details themselves. For you it's hassle-free.
The second option is to do a total group booking on one card. A minimum 50% deposit is due at the time of booking for groups of 10+. Full payment is due seven days prior to departure. You will receive 10% off the total booking price and peace of mind that everyone is booked and all spots are guaranteed. With group bookings we do add on a 20% gratuity for the awesome guides making it happen that day.
We love animals, but unfortunately we have a strict no dogs policy due to our permitting.
We monitor the water levels daily with our wonderful team. Depending on the season, typically the water levels are perfect for the trip. In a drier season, they get a bit lower, however, we monitor daily to make sure the trips are still running smoothly. The stretches of the Verde River that we operate on are generally considered mild and suitable for all ages and abilities. However, if the monsoons are active, we make sure the water levels are safe for our trips. We will always reach out to customers if there is ever a need to cancel or reschedule. We offer a shuttle service for Clear Creek if you have your own kayaks or tubes, but we do not shuttle for our other locations. Due to insurance and liability, unless you book the trip and use the gear we provide; we are unable to shuttle for other locations at this time.
At this time, we do not rent equipment. To use our equipment, you will need to book one of our tours.
Tandem kayaks are best suited for an adult plus a child. We generally don’t recommend tandem kayaks for two adults, as maneuvering with two is more challenging. We jokingly refer to them as “divorce boats”. Additionally, sometimes with low water the kayaks can drag on the bottom, making for a not so enjoyable trip and potentially causing damage to our gear. While we generally don’t recommend tandems for two adults, if an adult is physically unable to paddle themselves, we can usually accommodate in a tandem, and may be able to in other circumstances on a case per case basis.
